Double Attacks

Many people consider Double Attacks the "replacement" for Tech Attacks in Episode II. Don't let that fool you though. Most are not as good as their Tech Attack counterparts. However, MOMO does have probably the best arsenal for Doubles in terms of use. Like the name implies, MOMO does these attacks with the help of an ally instead of alone like with Tech Attacks. To execute, boost the other character when both MOMO and the ally has enough stock. Here's the juicy details on how they work!

MOMO and chaos: Blessed Miracle

Type/Attribute: Support / No Attribute
Target: All Allies
Stock: Stock x3
Effect: Best Ally (Auto-revive 1 time)
How-To and Description: In my opinion, this is the most useful double attack in the game, so I decided to put it up top. It casts the ether "Best Ally" on all allies at no ether cost. This is especially good because 1) Best Ally auto-revives the character with full heat 2) It normally costs a heck of a lot of EP 3) it takes a massive amount of Skill Points to learn. In summary, this is easier than learning the spell and casting it on everyone. You get this Double attack after you steal the item "Awakening IV" from the Patriarch (last boss). Then after you beat him, open up your items menu and use it. It will then say something like "MOMO and chaos acquired the double Blessed Miracle."
Now when you use it, the scene goes all "foresty" and has chaos on his knees holding MOMO's hands as if he was proposing. chaos tells her, "MOMO believe in yourself." In response, MOMO exclaims, "I will chaos!" They then both get up and open outwards while standing on a blue emblem and shouting, "Blessed miracle!"

MOMO and Jr: Silver Duet

Type/Attribute: Ether / Nonelemental
Target: One Enemy
Stock: Stock x2
Effect: None
How-To and Description: Silver Duet is the cutest double attack of all and one of the first you recieve in the game. You get it by stealing Awakening I from Albedo in the winter Subconscious Domain. However, I've found that sometimes you get it automatically after you beat him, but I wouldn't put it to chance so I suggest stealing it with Psycho Pocket if you can. Like with Blessed Miracle, you then use the item from the item menu and they'll have learned the attack.
Like I said before, this is the cutest double attack in the game, especially if you're a big JrxMOMO fan. The scene starts out with the usual double attack background. Jr then tosses a coin and MOMO shoots an Ether arrow at it. After shooting it, the scene changes to a sunset castle and a bird flies under the bridge MOMO and Jr are standing on. Jr does some fancy ether casting moves and pushes the ether energy to the ground next to MOMO. He then asks her, "Ready MOMO?" and she cutely responds, "Yes Jr!" after coming down to join him. The two then yell, "SILVER DUET!" and a giant tower comes down to crush the enemy who is across from the two on a circular platform.

MOMO and Shion: Burst Veil

Type/Attribute: Support / No Attribute
Target: All Allies
Stock: Stock x1
Effect: Burst Veil (Double Veil Status Effect)
How-To and Description: What do you get when you put together two support people? Obviously a support double attack! I honestly never found this attack too useful, but if your strategy is to use defense veils, this will definately help. Plus, it's the only double attack that only costs 1 stock. You get this after completing GS Campaign #8. If you need help, I have a guide for it on my Xenosaga general site HERE!
This double attack is also one of the special ones MOMO possesses that doesn't force you to look at the plain background double attacks normally have. The scene starts with Shion standing and posing with her hands above her head in a sunny flower field. You then see MOMO on her knees in a prayer-like position. Shion asks MOMO, "Are you ready?" Once again, MOMO replies energetically, "Yes Shion!" Shion then helps MOMO up, and they open up similarly to Blessed Miracle but saying "Burst Veil!"

MOMO and Ziggy: Power Strike

Type/Attribute: Physical / Strike and Fire
Target: One Enemy
Stock: Stock x3
Effect: None
How-To and Description: Power Strike is gained by completing GS Campaign #32 which is to pay Captain Matthew's debt of 10 million G. Many people have told me that you can either steal Awakening IV from the Patriarch many times (but you have to beat the game a lot to do that too), steal Skill Upgrade E from Rod Blondel (the boss of GS Campaign #14; you steal and then run away; don't kill until you know you have enough), or steal a bunch of Awakening II's from Orgulla in the Ormus Stronghold (Can only steal from the normal mode, manes mode does not have it; everytime she changes modes, you can resteal Awakening II). Honestly I haven't done this myself so these are mostly suggestions and descriptions I recieved from friends.
This sequence is on the plain background, but still looks pretty cool. In the beginning, Ziggy says "Let's go, MOMO!" and MOMO responds by saying "Right!" She then turns around and launches three ether arrows up at the sky. This unleases three sets of symbols in the sky. A rumble can then be heard as Ziggy has an anime-sweatdrop. Turning around, Ziggy knocks two meteors at the enemy and jumps up in front of the third meteor. He is then pushed backwards and a giant fireblast engulfs the enemy.

MOMO and KOS-MOS: Cross Hilbert

Type/Attribute: Status Attack / No Attribute
Target: All Enemies
Stock: Stock x2
Effect: H Lost (Lasts all battle; cannot use ethers)
How-To and Description: Both MOMO and KOS-MOS can use the Hilbert Effect, so apparently their double attack is when they "cross" this ability together. The effect, H Lost, prevents the enemies from using ethers all battle. I've never really found this useful because 1) hardly any enemies use ethers and 2) the ones that do are mostly immune to this status effect. If you find you really like it though, by all means go for it. You get this double attack after completing GS Campaign #30 (I call it the "Adopt a Cat" Campaign). After you find a home for all the cats, talk with Clive (in King's Hideout on the Foundation) to get the double.
This double attack's sequence is rather short compared to some of the others MOMO has. You start out on the normal double attack setting with the camera easing away from KOS-MOS. You then see MOMO once again in the praying position right in front of KOS-MOS, who has glowing hands. MOMO then reaches up and KOS-MOS reaches forward as they join hands. Hilbert waves then emit from their hands and the ground as the "Cross Hilbert" completes.
