Xenosaga II Battle
Well whoever said that MOMO was useless on the basis of only playing through Episode I, they were harshly awakened in Episode II. Quite frankly, MOMO is one of the most powerful characters in Episode II. Her attacks do tons of damage, and she has the EP and speed to cast tons of Ethers. MOMO is a definate must-have in your party, but you'll typically have to rely on your other allies who can hit both the B and C zones to help get the enemy into a Break, Down, or Air state.
In Episode II, MOMO throws our the traditional scepter she used in Episode I and instead picked up a unique weapon known as the Ether Bow. This gives all of her attacks an Ether/Pierce type, but an element such as Thunder or Flame can be added as wellto make an Elemental Combo with other characters. She also has access to a ton of Double Attacks, including the most useful one which she does with chaos called "Blessed Miracle." Since all the other skills are shared with other characters, they don't make any character than another.
Battle sequences have immensely simplified from Xenosaga I. The characters just fade in, so MOMO doesn't do anything special but say battle quotes. While battle takes place, MOMO stands in place solidly with her right hand resting on her chest. MOMO holds her bow downward with her left hand, ready to strike or cast an either with the respective arm at any moment.
When in low health, MOMO leans forward and gasps for breath, like in Episode I. While stocking, MOMO leans back a bit and a red circle flashes around her body, indicating that the stock was successful. In addition, MOMO throws her right hand up in the air and then whirls a magical light around her body when casting an Ether. When taking damage, MOMO also hunches over a bit, but when guarding, MOMO hides behind her Ether Bow to reduce the damage. While attacking, MOMO lifts her ether bow up in a slanted manner into a horozontal or upright position. She then pulls a magical arrow back and lets go to complete the attack. Afterwards, her hand moves back down. If there are more attacks, she repeats the process. In the middle of MOMO's combo, MOMO does a special attack where she bends down on one knee and fires an arrow saying "Bullseye!" Finally, when MOMO uses an item, she simply tosses her hand upward.
The following is a list of her Basic Attack sequences:

You might have noticed that MOMO, like Shion, only has the option of using the Circle button. This is the one downside of having MOMO, but having two other characters that can hit at least B/C helps to solve this problem. Even though her attacks can be A/B/C, they are usually B, sometimes A, and almost never C. This is why having someone like KOS-MOS or Jr. is absolutely essential to helping you get your enemies into a Break, Down, or Air state.
MOMO still has the lowest HP out of all the characters, but not by as much anymore. However, her EP isn't as dramatically higher than the others like before either. Her Agility, Dexteriety, and Ether Attack/Defense are still higher than the others, and her Physical Attack/Defense is still lower. Honestly though, her Physical Attack isn't much of any use because most of her attacks are Ether based. Just cover MOMO's low HP with good healing spells and defense (both Ether and Physical) enhancements, and you'll be good to go.
At the end of battle, MOMO brings both her hands and Ether Bow behind her back and tilts a little to one side. Once again, this emphasizes how innocent MOMO is compared to everyone else in the game.
